Introducing Grand Cayman
The Grand Cayman Island is one of the gorgeous islands situated in the Caribbean Sea and forms part of the Cayman Islands. As a British Overseas Territory, Grand Cayman is the largest of the three islands, with Cayman Brac and Little Cayman being the two smaller sister islands. Grand Cayman attracts the most tourists and covers approximately 76 square miles.
Grand Cayman is a first-class beach vacation destination that offers something for everyone of all ages. The most well-known beach is "Seven Mile Beach", a spectacular stretch of soft, white sand and turquoise clear water.
With so much to see and do in Cayman, it really attracts people of all ages from all over the world. With friendly locals, incredible beaches, fun excursions and excellent weather you would be sure you have an amazing vacation that you will never forget!
Perfect Destination Wedding
Grand Cayman is a place very dear to my heart because my husband and I got married there in 2008, and we have returned to visit every year since.
If you are considering a destination wedding then there is no place more perfect to get married than in the Grand Cayman! Just imagine walking bear-foot in the sand, hand in hand with the one you love, on your Wedding Day.
Visitors to Cayman must pay for a Special Marriage License to which costs around US$200. There are many choices for the ceremony itself, ranging from a resort wedding on the beach to a more traditional wedding in in a Chapel. Either way, there are many options for planning a perfect destination wedding to meet your budget and fulfill your dreams.
Shopping in Georgetown
Georgetown, the Capital of Grand Cayman, can attract up to six cruise ships a day and therefore it’s a good idea to check the cruise ship schedule before you go.
If you’re looking to buy some beautiful jewelery then Cayman is definitely the place to go! You will find Kirk-Freeport and Island Companies selling watches including Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Cartier, Tag Heuer, Tissot for amazing prices. Also very popular is Black Coral and local Caymanite, as well as designer fashion, sunglasses, cuban cigars, perfume, china and crystal.
Relaxing on the Beach
For those looking a more relaxing time on the beach away from the hustle and bustle of Tourism, consider staying on the quieter North Side or East End of the island where time just seems to melt away..

This place sounds amazing. The pictures are fabulous and the white sand is fantastic. It is one of the most beautiful places to visit. My younger cousin was married here in July 2007. I have yet to go, so I'll need to start saving hard.
Grand Cayman looks like a wonderful place, almost unreal, and I would really like to take a vacation there! Even though I am already married I wouldn't mind doing it again on that beach:)
The photos are fantastic!

Nice article. The only thing I know about Caymen Islands is of the offshore banking scene, and what have been mentioned of them in John Grisham's Firm. I am glad you had a great wedding there. On that point can I just mentioned quite a few internationals come to Jordan and get married in Mount Nebo's Church, have a party celebration's in Petra, and swim in the Dead Sea and/or Aqaba.
This was a fun read for me! I am getting married this November and we are going on our Honeymoon to the Grand Caymans! This hub made me so excited! Thanks for sharing.
Chicken! Chicken! Loved that place : ) Cayman is such a beautiful place and the people are absolutely wonderful. I'm looking forward to the day when we move back east which will make it easier to get there. It was 2 days coming and 2 days going all the way from Idaho. Luckily we stopped in Chicago and stayed with family otherwise we would have had a 12 hour layover between our flights. I can't wait to go back : ) Wonderful hub that brings back memories. Voted up, useful, and shared.
Where do I sign up? Excellent hub. I love the photos!
Love your photos here and really want to visit Cayman after reading this !

Love this article, and the pictures bring back great memories. We went there on the Norwegian Dawn in 2002. I loved walking on the beach, and the marina. I had lunch at a great out of the way restaurants with my friends...who are blessed to live there most of the year.
Great hub!
