Stainless Steel Jewelry is Making a Comeback

By

With the price of gold and silver rapidly on the rise these days, it’s no wonder that stainless steel jewelry is making a huge comeback as a classic and inexpensive alternative to precious metal jewelry.

In this economy, buying high-priced gold or silver jewelry with flashy diamonds or other precious gem stones just isn’t a viable option to a lot of people any more. And yet we still want to look good, feel good, and be able to treat our loved ones thoughtful gifts that they will love and enjoy for many years. Fortunately, the jewelry industry is currently bursting with ideas to meet our demands for high-quality fashion jewelry at affordable prices.

Modern stainless steel jewelry comes in many different forms, including stainless steel rings, stainless steel necklaces, stainless steel bracelets, stainless steel pendants and stainless steel earrings, both for women and for men. Stainless steel jewelry looks slightly similar to sterling silver jewelry in appearance, although a little less lustrous with a more metallic finish. It is often accented with beautiful cubic zirconia stones to give it some additional sparkle and shine. The result is simply elegant, high-quality fashion jewelry that can be obtained for incredible prices!

Stainless steel rings have become especially appealing to people who are looking for extra durability and strength. A wedding ring, after all, is meant to last a lifetime! It’s probably therefore not surprising that there is a large demand for stainless steel wedding rings these days, especially by men who want something modern, solid and inexpensive.

The big advantages to stainless steel jewelry are:-

PRICE: Stainless steel jewelry is ultimately less expensive to buy than sterling silver or white gold jewelry. So when considering a gift purchase for someone in your life, a fashionable piece of high-quality stainless steel jewelry could be a great option. Because stainless steel is slightly more “metallic-looking” than silver, it makes it a very popular jewelry choice for men. Men wear a lot more jewelry than theyused to; there are so many modern and masculine designs available these days. With so many design choices, stainless steel is an all round gift idea for men, women and children.

STRENGTH: Stainless steel is harder and stronger than silver, which can make it more durable and longer lasting, making it perfect for everyday wear. Instead of just bring this jewelry out to wear on special occasions, it can be enjoyed to its fullest without needing to worry about damages or costly repairs.

FINISH: Stainless steel does not tarnish, rust or bend and therefore it maintains a beautifully pleasing look for many years, and with very little maintenance.

NON-ALLERGENIC: Stainless steel jewelry is normally hypoallergenic and nickel-free; this makes it safe for people who normally experience allergic reactions to nickel.

EASY MAINTENANCE: Unlike gold or silver, stainless steel does not require frequent polishing and is incredibly easy to clean with a toothbrush and a solution of baking soda and vinegar.

I remember when stainless steel jewelry was a ring made from the pattern end of a spoon. It's come a long way and looks really nice. Great hub!

I do like stainless steel jewelry. It is way less expensive than gold or silver. Also, if I happen to lose a stainless steel ring or earrings, I don't get too upset since it is not too expensive. I am proned to losing jewelry, so that is a good thing. Voted up!

I adore stainless steel jewelry. I enjoyed your hub on this. So I will be on the look out for some of these beautiful pieces. The ring in the picture is beautiful.

Another enjoyable hub, Cloverleaf.

Hi vocalcoach I agree this ring is really quite beautiful and looks expensive even though it isn't. We can certainly stretch our pennies a bit further with some fancy-looking stainless steel jewelry.

Glad you enjoyed this one,

Cloverleaf.

Hey there Cloverleaf! :) You are great! Just thought you should know that. I have seen more of the steel pieces these days, actually today at the mall. If it looks like a million bucks and it cost a few bucks, more power to me. voted up, useful, and interesting.
