That color-changing shower head is pretty cool - a great gift for men, but kids would enjoy it in their shower too (although I doubt kids want it as a gift).

Good hub. As a man, here's my opinion on my interest level for each gift listed, in order:
NO: who needs a watch when you have a cell phone?
Yes: I want beer I can not break or spill.
NO: I used to have one and it was lame-o
Yes: It's about time I got a new wallet.
NO: who needs an e book when you can touch and read the real thing (Check out my hub /poem EVEN THOUGH for more info).
Yes: though, helicopters are better

I love watches, but am very picky. I choose them for durability, performance, and style. The best watch for work? Stainless steel Casio G-shock. The bands always break on me, and the stainless steel bracelet is more durable. It has a satellite function that automatically adjust time by time zone if you travel and for daylight savings time. It only retails around $105 at Walmart. Dress watches are harder, because there are so many to choose from. I prefer the Oakley Time bomb watches for their sleek and advanced design. They have different designs, some with carbon fiber that retail between $1000-$3000.
It's difficult to find a good wallet! There are the folding bi and tri billfolds. Believe it or not, these wallets sometimes warp and break credit cards. And the plastic picture holders ruin pictures and magnetic strips on credit cards. In my opinion, the checkbook style wallet is better, and doesn't have these issues with damaging credit cards. Doesn't stretch the back pockets in jeans as bad as the other wallets.
I'm sorry, I know this is long winded. Just wanted to share just in case anyone reading wants to buy me an Oakley Time Bomb or a new wallet.

As a male, your suggestions were spot on. Watches are always nice, and the Kindle Fire is a obvious but good choice; the LED ShowerHead...now that is a great idea. Didn't even know that they existed. And not expensive either. However, they hopefully still provide good pressure, otherwise the experience will be lacking. Thanks for the thoughtful list of suggestions.

While these are all good but common suggestions. Although, I will admit the LED shower head is pretty cool. I would like to add one more. If you really want to get a gift that's different for a man or even female, think outside of the box. How about a Radio Control Model? This is outside of the usual Wallet or cologne or Tie, don't you think? Surprise him or her this year.

Clover, there are some really great suggestions here for men's gifts. They are truly hard to buy for. My husband usually just buys whatever he needs when he needs it, so it is especially hard to find gifts he really wants. I liked the electronic shower head idea. Too bad he just bought a super dooper one at Cosco with all the bells and whistles etc.

I am about to go Christmas shopping and this list definitely gave me some ideas for the men that I am buying gifts for. I am really interested in the kindle. Now I just have to figure out which one.
Men are suckers for gadgets. Myself included. These gifts definitely have the cool factor attached to them. Now, if the iphone 5 had come out just in time for christmas. That would be awesome. I am salivating over that thought. Ladies don't forget that a little loving goes a long way. Its always seasonal. Get him a card that shows how much you love him and how much he means to you. I still read cards from last christmas. The stories about how we spent our christmas are awesome reads down the road. Put those moments in your cards. Its well worth it. Great hub.

The shower head is a very cool idea, I'd never heard of that before. I think I want one too! That way I can finally take a shower when the power is out, and I won't kill myself in the dark! :)
